Warranty

PowerShade awnings all have a 10 year warranty and it is not prorated.  If it breaks in 9 1/2 years then it is replaced!

SunSetter you can get a 10 year warranty but only if you upgrade to their platinum series which is more expensive.  Their warranty is prorated!

Integrated Cassette to protect your awning from the weather when it is retracted

SunSetter you can get a integrated cassette but you have to upgrade to the platinum series which is more expensive

Fabric Choices

PowerShade awnings only come with Sunbrella fabric which is recognized as the best fabric in the world.

SunSetter comes with four or so choices of which three are cheaper fabrics and laminates.   Sunbrella fabric is available but you have to upgrade to the platinum series which is more expensive

 

LED Lights

PowerShade awnings come standard with built in LED lights in the bars.

Sunsetter charges $400 for their LED lights as an add on accessory.   Their lights are velcroed on the bars, yes you heard that right they use velcro.

 

Pitch Adjustment

PowerShade awnings have an easy pitch adjustment that any homeowner can do with the wand.

Sunsetter has a pitch adjustment but usually the installers have to come back to your house and get on a ladder and loosen each side and adjust the pitch.  Good luck with that........

 

Motor

PowerShade awnings come standard with a Mooba motor and a Somfy motor is available as well.

SunSetter comes with a Somfy motor.

We compare to the SunSetter awnings because they are the number one seller in America but only because they spend millions of dollars on TV, direct mail, and their website marketing.   It is not because they have the best awning as you can see!

You obviously have to upgrade to SunSetter platinum series to get a comparable awning but they cost up to $1000 more than the PowerShade awning.  Yes you heard that right $1000 more for an awning that is inferior to the PowerShade.    The PowerShade awning is obviously a better choice!    So call us today we will beat any price on a retractable awning of comparable quality, guaranteed!
